Its our first day on the trail... Reading the Bible in 90 Days.
Not a small commitment but one that can be done! And how exciting to know that we are working together to meet our God and our Goal.
This is a place to share our thoughts, our prayers, and our blessings as we meet the Challenge. Blogging is new to many of us - including me. Let us not be afraid but instead embrace the opportunity to share freely.
Anything you post here is confidentially shared only with others in our Reading Group. No one else has access to this site.
So lets get started....Let the Blessings Begin!

From our newest team member Georgine ~ Welcome Georgine!
I started the Bible reading this a.m. and it truly blesses one. Besides that God is such an awesome great God, two things that hit me from it.
1. Gen. 4:7 last part " it (sin) desires to have you, but you must master it." Now above all times we must so we can be partakers of seeing the new earth recreated!
2. The earth was created in six days then God rested and blessed the seventh day, and made it holy. Our earth is 6000 years old, to God a day is like a thousand years, so to God as far as a time is concerned our earth is just 6 days old. On the 7th day he set it apart and made the sabbath, now 6000 years later our 7th year will be rest and in the presence of our almighty God, His second coming. Our God is very precise and orderly and we are about to see the next phase. Praise God.
I have studied and know all this about how we are about to enter that Jubilee year, but for some reason this just reiterated to me this morning how big God is and everything on time.

My thoughts from my Bible reading
Genesis 1 – 16
Gen. 4:7 – As a mom, I thought of my girls and homeschooling them and realized that it IS important to do WELL; otherwise we are tempted to steal (by cheating) from others, and later in life as well. We do our best and ask the Lord to help us learn, we will have less sin lying at our door in life!
Gen. 4:26 – it said that it was a "long time until man called on the Lord". I want to call on Him often and early!
Gen 6: 9, 22 – Noah walked with God, and did according to all that God commanded him…shouldn't we?!?
Gen. 6:14 – God was very specific in His directions to Noah on how to build the ark. I believe that God is specific in all things and does not change His requirements of us humans.
Gen. 9:4 – "Flesh with the life thereof which is the blood, shall ye NOT eat". I would think that to mean that for those that are meat eaters, they should NOT eat their meat "rare" or "medium rare", but "well done" only.
Gen. 9:23 – It is not good for children to see their parent's naked. And the thought occurred to me that for those that drink wine, they make poor choices and then can become "naked" and not realize what they are doing to themselves or others.
Gen. 12:1, 2 – Go where God asks you to and you will be BLESSED!
some deep, interesting events
in this section. the lies, deceit,
etc. is as prevalent in our world
today as in the beginning days of
this world. amazingly, God continues to forgive when we sin.
